The Pre-Paid Legal membership helps people. We see it every day. Read below to see how having and using the PPL membership made a difference in our members' lives.

Member made a large up-front payment to the agency who failed to produce any ads in a timely manner. Member tried to collect the payments made to the company but was unsuccessful. From Abundance Unlimited - on Gurdjieff and current business shifts:
Some years ago, I read a book by G.I. Gurdjieff called, "Meetings with Remarkable Men." It was all about the way his whole worldview shifted by meeting a few intelligent people who were able to point the mystical way forward.
Networking is a bit like that. Exoteric when it concerns surface opportunities, esoteric when it comes to the handful of people who will change your life. They might be your clients, you might be theirs, or you might simply find a synergy that comes from a place of fullness and balance.
I like to feature remarkable people in this newsletter and include lessons of the week. This week it's about success and opportunity. When one door closes, another opens. 2009 is unfolding like this beautiful flower into leave-takings and heart-openings. Is that true for you? I am finding more and more doors opening, more awakenings.
Here's one remarkable person I met through the OCTANe/OCVG mixer in Laguna Beach: Aubrey Beck. Aubrey then was marketing a company developing wearable technology. Professionally, she lives at the cutting edge health, technology and spirituality, and has Public Relations and Marketing experience. She has a passion for writing and researching and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you regarding possible synergies.
This week I'm incorporating my law practice and expanding it to a global market. Stay tuned for details.
Another development this week is that after months of poo-pooing Prepaid Legal, I've decided not only to sign up for it (even lawyers sometimes need lawyers) but also to join the business opportunity. I realized there are many people who need legal help, but may not be right for the services I offer, so this gives them another route. So far I'm impressed with the support structure on the team.

The Shift - from Abundance Unlimited, the newsletter - sign up at www.michaelhcohen.com.
Do you feel the shift? Things are lightening up. Creative opportunities are expanding.
I want to thank Johan Huber for this inspirational quote (rendered by the ATM machine at Dave & Buster's): "There are some who think the pie is only this big" (gesturing with his hands) and "those who create more pie." Grinning, we acknowledged our kinship in the shared vision that we both create more pie.
Entrepreneurs don't look for jobs, they create jobs.
Speaking of which, I'm going to be featuring more of you in this newsletter. To paraphrase the big O (let you get any funny thoughts, that stands for Obama), it's not about me, it's all about you. I'm here because you asked for change. So don't be surprised if you get a little free PR.
Like the virtuous and hard-working Brian Goodwin, who helps with corporate benefits and lower health insurance costs. I attach the label virtuous because I learned (over dinner at Veggie Grill) that he helps foster kids at a camp and also composes songs.
I also want to feature Kevin Keator (pronounced Kator like Tater, though I like to pronounce it Kreator) who has a creative vision for commercials and is doing a special one for my practice (stay tuned for details). Check out the prolific and talented Newport Pictures to get yours done. This week's theme is the virtue of having legal counsel.
By the way, I'm not a fan of horror movies but I am collecting legal horror stories. If you've been badly burned by failing to hire legal counsel, share your story with me and I may feature you in this newsletter. I meet so many people who neglected to get a lawyer, did their own contracts, made assumptions and thereby ruined their business--only to learn the lesson, "don't roll the dice, get legal advice." So I'm making it a hobby to collect and share these educational parables.
Those who know as the tree-hugger that I am beneath the superlawyer outfit realize that spirituality is my baseline. This week, my colleagues and I published (in the prestigious scientific journal, Nature) a ground-breaking article entitled Anecdotal Evidence Suggests Possibility of Levitation. This is an article I will have to include on my Harvard faculty page.
Okay, Back to Law Stuff. This week Mike Cannon of the Cannon E-Institute told me he once almost blew his business out of anger at something his lawyer said. It was: "Every business person needs to have an attorney on retainer, all the time." Mike didn't like that at all. But now, he said, he realizes it's true. So thanks, Mike, for recognizing and reminding me to recognize that what we do is incredibly valuable. Reviewing and drafting contracts is one of the things I most enjoy about being a lawyer. In fact, that is why I've dedicated a section of the Entrepreneur's Legal Toolkit to that. (Look for the CD to come out within a few weeks. It's being done by Danny Kim, Todd Johnson and co. of Home Run Media). ****** Little plug again for Fun Road to Riches: If you want to know how the Partner ATM machine works for companies and nonprofit charities seeking revenue, check out Serving Our World Child Rescue. This is great for the nonprofit, and good for the Business Associate that signed up the nonprofit. *******************************
